Kidz Camp & Pointbreak 11-14's Camp
Last weekend King’s Church International held its annual Kidz Camp and Pointbreak Youth Camp; two separate camps over the same weekend at the same venue. 101 people attended.
Throughout the weekend there was a tremendous sense of family across the age range with the meal times, talent show and the final goodbye meeting being held together.
The theme of the camp was being a Braveheart looking through the story of King David and his fight with Goliath. Through this many of the children and youth became determined to get more serious with God.
Paul and Julie Bristow, Children’s Pastors of KCI, provided the main leadership of the camp with Naomi Giddings leading Kidz Camp and Dom & Sarah Smith leading Pointbreak Camp.
On the Saturday afternoon the Pointbreakers participated in a special Youth School of Creative Arts. This was very popular with the following sessions:
- Drum Workshop with Bono Hodge - check video below
- Drama Workshop with Ness Hodge
- Cartoon Workshop with Paul Colsell
- Dance with Hannah Plumley
Although the weather was absolutely appalling throughout the weekend – rain certainly didn’t stop play!! Much fun was had on the football pitch, inflatables, chill out rooms, craft tent and camp fire. No one had any time to get bored.
The food was fantastic with our very own Executive Chef Richard De Wet and his great team Alethea and Stacey with several commenting that the food was the best camp food ever!
