Winemakers’ bus blessing
Children of farm labourers now have regular transport to Kinderkerk (Kidz Church in Robertson, South Africa) thanks to local winemakers laying on bus transport. Praise God.
Graham Beck Wines have stepped in to help so that the children of their farm will be able to attend the exciting Kinderkerk which sees 350 children attending each week.
And the youngsters are enjoying Kinderkerk so much that the parents are also doing all they can to help contribute to the transport costs as well, they plan to hold fundraising events such as choir evenings.
Before the bus blessing, over the last couple of months the children living on Graham Beck Wines, a farm about 8km outside of Robertson have been attending Kinderkerk whenever they had the opportunity to do so, depending on the goodwill of others as the transport cost for these children could not be funded by their parents.
Graham Beck Wines Children's Coordinator Aunt Dora, who also attends Kinderkerk and is a grandparent of some of the children, said “I enjoy Kinderkerk as much as the children, the message speaks to my heart every time”.
Yolanda van Zyl, secretary at Graham Beck Wines, Kinderkerk Children’s Administrator and busy mother of three said “we are so thankful for Graham Beck for their generosity and readiness to help support the spiritual development of their farm children”.
Kinderkerk is the second service of King’s Church International starting at 11:00 at The Dirkie Uys (Laerskool), Robertson. The family service starts at 9am and all are welcome.
