KCI celebrates Christmas and New Year
King's Church International celebrated Christmas and the New Year with friends and family at three events in December.The Sunday Christmas Celebration service on 20th December saw 400 people gather at the Parish Church in Windsor. The theme was Worship the King.
The KCI choir led praise and worship and delivered performances of traditional Christmas including the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah.
Wesley Richards then spoke about the wise men and their journey to see & worship Jesus. "We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him" Matthew 2:1-2.
The Windsor Parish Church was once again full on Christmas Eve for the KCI Traditional Carol Service.
Nearly 500 people gathered for carols, led once again by the KCI Choir, Bible readings and real life stories of how God has changed the lives of church members.
Pastor Wes Richards gave the Christmas message entitled "Experiencing the favour of God."
The Meeting Point New Year's Eve Party followed for members and friends of KCI in the 18-30's age range.
The theme of the party was "Be a star." Guests were invited to come dressed as their favourite celebrity and prizes were awarded for the best costumes.
The evening kicked off with an X-Factor style performance from John and Edwardo (alias KCI Members Richard and Raul). Later Salsa dancing led up to the big New Year Countdown and fireworks courtesy of the City of London and a big screen!
During the evening Richard Williams also gave a short talk about what God had done in his life in 2009 and encouraged everyone to set dreams and goals for 2010.
