Rouen’08 - 14 to 17’s Camp
Due to popular demand Rouen is back! Rouen’08 will be for 14 to 17 year olds who are committed members of king’s church. This will be a fantastic opportunity to get away, hang out with your friends and get closer to God.
Who?
You will need to be in current school year 9, 10, 11 or 12 and be an active member of a King’s Church cell group.
When?
Rouen’08 will take place at the beginning of your summer holidays from Friday 25th to Tuesday 29th July.

Where?
We will be travelling to Chateau Bethel, Darnetal, near Rouen in Normandy France by coach to Association Bethel Chateau 3 Routede, Gornay, 76160, Bois L’Eveque

How Much?
Cost for Camp
£225 full board inc. transport and activities
Minimum deposit
£30. There is limited availability so you will need to get your deposit & completed booking form into the church offices ASAP
Final Payment Due

To help you budget, you may want to pay in installments. Here are a few ideas:

In order to book your place, please follow the instructions in the enclosed booking form. All money must be paid in full by 30th June 2008. Failure to do so will result in your place being cancelled. You can pay via cheque or standing order. You can also submit post dated cheques which we will bank accordingly. See booking form for details.
General Information
TRANSPORT
Return transport from Slough to Rouen is included in the cost. Departure and return places and times will be sent to you upon registration.
What's Included?
Return transport, accommodation, food and activities are all included in the price of the camp. Rouen’08 is full board with breakfast, lunch & dinner provided each day. If you have any special dietary requirements, please ensure you inform us on the booking form. The accommodation at Rouen’08 will be in dormitories. We will do our best to accommodate your requests to room share requests but are unable to guarantee every request.
3 IMPORTANTS THINGS YOU NEED TO SORT OUT

- - Travel Insurance (optional, but we highly recommend it)
You will need some ££ for the ferry and onsite tuck shop and some Euro’s for the trips out.
No need for a passport, just send us a passport sized photo with your application form. These will collated into a group passport to speed up entry upon arrival in France.
It is very important that you have an EHIC number - these need to be applied for by your parents if you are under 18 from www.ehic.org.uk or by calling 0845 606 2030. Note that old E111 forms expired on 31st Dec 04.
King's Church has a travel insurance policy for this trip however we would advise that you do book personal travel insurance.
Things to Bring
NOT THE KITCHEN SINK! Seriously – it’s only 5 days not 2 weeks! Therefore 5 x T-shirts & knickers and 1 x shorts, swimmers + deodorant...sorted!
You will also need to bring the following: notepad, pen & Bible, wash kit, towels, sleeping bag, pillow, change of clothes including sports kit, torch, swimming gear, jacket /waterproofs,smart clothes for the Last Night Party and anything you may need for any of the activities and competitions.
We recommend you do not bring any valuables to the camp (mobile phones, PSP’s or diamond crusted Gucci sunglasses etc), if you do, you do so at your own risk as we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage.
Safety
All youth workers have undergone CRB checks and have been trained in the best practice guidelines contained in the King’s Church Child Protection Policy.
Workers qualified in First Aid will be also onsite throughout the duration of the camp.

Terms & Conditions
Cancellations must be made in writing and deposits are non refundable. Bookings are non-transferable. Money will not be returned for campers who are sent home early due to failure to comply with the camp rules.
From time to time videos and photographs will be taken at camp. These may be used as promotional material by the church. Please notify us in writing if you do not wish to appear in such material.
Camp Rules
- - Campers are expected to comply with the instructions of the Rouen’08 leadership team. In extreme circumstances failure to abide by the camp rules may result in the camper being sent home.
- - No smoking
- - Anyone found in possession of illegal substances will be sent home immediately.
- - Alcohol is not to be brought to the camp.
- - No male campers are allowed on the female accommodation floors & no female campers are allowed on the male accommodation floors
- - Attendance is compulsory at all meetings & meal times.
- - All swimming must be supervised by an approved first aider.
